Kagoshima Prefecture is offering free PCR Tests for prefectural citizens who are concerned about if they have caught COVID-19 but are asymptomatic (not having symptoms)

〇 Type of test: PCR Test, Quantitative Antigen Test (high-sensitivity quantitative test), Qualitative Antigen Test (rapid antigen test)

〇 Cost of test: free of charge

Information regarding the Temporary Special Benefit for Households with Resident Tax Exemption etc. (100,000 yen per household)

The Temporary Special Benefit for Households with Resident Tax Exemptions (100,000 yen per household) is a new benefit to help households that are exempt from the per capita rate of resident tax, and households that have seen their financial situation drastically change due to the influence of the coronavirus pandemic

To receive the benefit, you must complete the following procedures.

1. Payment amount of the benefit

100,000 yen per household

2. When the benefits are paid

Differs by municipality

3. Procedures required to obtain the benefit

・Households with all members exempt from the per capita rate of resident tax in the 2021

fiscal year: you will be sent a confirmation document by the municipality you reside in.

(You must send back completed document).

・Households who have seen their income drastically decrease since January 2021 and now

in a situation equivalent to being exempt from the per capita rate of resident tax

(Households with a sudden change in family finances): you must submit an application

Alert level of Covid-19 reduced down to Stage 2

Kagoshima Prefectural Government (KPG) has reduced the alert level of Covid-19 down to Stage Ⅱ 7th October, but still remains under the status of caution against the infection expansion.

All residents are required

  1. To refrain from non-essential, non - urgent outings to high - risk area.
  2. To get vaccinated soon if you wish.
  3. To use the third-party-certificated restaurants with small number participants in a short time when dining.
  4. To take prevention measures such as washing hands, wearing masks, keeping social distance and ventilating rooms frequently.
