Services at the Plaza
Newspapers both local and from overseas (English, Chinese and Korean), foreign books (mostly English), dictionaries (English, Chinese, Korean, French, Spanish, German), magazines concerning overseas current affairs and studying abroad are available for browsing. In addition, books on Japanese lifestyle, culture, history, travelling, etc. can also be found on the shelves.

Message Board
Messages regarding the below listed topics can be advertised on the message board for one month. You may fill in the designated form at the International Exchange Plaza, or submit one A4 piece of paper for posting. Please apply at the office.

Rental of flags, maps and ethnic costumes
We loan rent flags, maps and ethnic costumes for events that promote international understanding, exchange and global cooperation.Please apply at the Kagoshima International Association.
Consultation
We provide information and consultation service on overseas studying, global cooperation and support for foreign residents.
Prefectural Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) are also available on the following days of the week between 2:30pm to 5:00pm to provide information on exchange with foreign countries, international exchange activities, etc.

Chinese Lunchtime Talk
Want to chat with a Kagoshima CIR who is also a native Chinese speaker? This lunchtime talk is open to anyone interested in Chinese conversation, Chinese residents in Kagoshima, and anyone with experience living in China. Participation is free and there is no need to apply in advance. (Please note that this is not an official Chinese language course.)
- Every Tuesday 12:00-13:00 (except for days when the Kagoshima Prefectural Citizens Exchange Center is closed)
- Venue: meeting room next to the KIA office
*Participants can may come and go as they please during this time, but food is not allowed there is no lunch.
